ABOUT US

What We Do

Empowering Through Awareness, Support, and Action

We believe no one should face breast cancer alone. That’s why we work every day to raise awareness, uplift fighters, and provide meaningful support to both women and men affected by the disease.

Our mission comes to life through powerful community outreach — from hosting educational events and support group meetups to distributing helpful resources and sharing survivor stories that inspire hope.

We also drive impact through fundraising initiatives, partnerships, volunteer programs, and donation drives that directly benefit those in need. Whether someone is newly diagnosed, in treatment, or in recovery, we’re here to walk alongside them — every step of the way.

Founder

Her Story

Daphne Myers began advocating for breast cancer awareness in 2015—hosting events, creating safe spaces, and encouraging early detection—never imagining that one day, she’d become part of the very story she was helping others navigate.

In April 2021, I heard the words no one wants to hear: “You have breast cancer.” Life changed in an instant. The fear and the endless appointments—the emotional and financial toll I had seen in others—became my own reality. But I wasn’t alone. I leaned on my faith, my family, and the same community I had once served. I chose to fight—not only for myself, but for every woman and every man facing this diagnosis.

It was during my own treatment that I noticed something missing—the visibility of men in the breast cancer conversation. I met sons, brothers, husbands, and fathers quietly enduring their own battles, often overlooked. That moment sparked a new purpose in me. From that calling, the EmpowHER & HIM Breast Cancer Foundation was born.

What started as a heartfelt gathering—the TaTa's, TuTu's & Ties Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch—has now become a nonprofit movement.  The foundation raises awareness, provides resources, supports survivors, and stands in the financial and emotional gap for families in crisis. It's colors are pink and blue, because breast cancer does not discriminate—and neither should we.

EmpowHER & HIM is more than a foundation—it’s a promise. A promise to empower those diagnosed, uplift those in treatment, and honor those who have been lost. As a survivor, an advocate, and a founder, my mission and my legacy is to make sure no one fights breast cancer alone.
